The hotel was close to the stadium.
One of the bedspreads had a cigarette hole burned on it.

The hotel was good enough for me.

A kid's paradise - large, indoor pool, hot tub, gameroom.
Room was small, pool smelled bad game room was 1980s.
Could be great with some care.

I liked it just fine. Thought $72 was high for what it was. I loved the pool/hot tub area, even though the kids complained that it, smelled bad. (Both pool and hot tub could probably use better/more attention.) The game room could also be updated. The painted concrete floor in the pool area was peeling, which gives the appearance of being run down. The complimentary breakfast bar was outstanding though (and probably saved us around $20 in a meal we did not have to buy on the road!) This made up for a lot. I know I wasn't paying for a 4-star hotel and didn't expect much but paid a little more than I did on my way east, just to insure an indoor pool, and didn't get near the quality of Hawthorne Suites in Omaha for the price. I only mention this because both hotels were less than half full and should be doing more to fill their rooms - like giving better deals! Overall though, as a one night stayer, I was happy. With a little bit of care and renovation. The Quality Inn Columbia could be a beautiful place. ...read more

The location was adequate.

Not many amenities (pool was down), call first to assure E-mail access (E-mail access was down), Location is good for area.

Nothing.
Old and rundown.

I would not suggest staying at this hotel. Hard to find, rundown and non-smoking room smelled like smoke!

Was very clean and really enjoyed my stay.
Pool was very cold and couldn't get a chance to sit in hot tub.

Everything was great! Had a little problems with trying to get into the hot tub because the same people were laughing around it for 4 hours!

For an older hotel the room was nice.
Atrium and lobby smelt funny.

The room was recently updated. This was an Old Holidome (Holiday Inn) and the atrium area was not attractive and had a strange smell. The hot breakfast was below average. The door on the room would stick, the only way to open was to lean in on the door and the only way to close was to slam. This was annoying when late in the evening and early morning people starting slamming doors. ...read more

The hot breakfast in the morning was great, beds were soft, clean and comfortable.
Room was damp and moldy. Had mold, and smelled like mold.

Hotel was ok, for what we needed it for. Our room was on the north side, outside entrance and was extremely weathered. Room was damp and was moldy. Bathroom was clean. Beds where clean and comfortable. Did it's job. Breakfast in the morning was great. ...read more

Great area for people to spend time in the outer pool area.
Bathroom light cover over the shower hit me while I was getting out of the tub and shattered on floor and in tub area.

At 5:45 am, while reaching for a towel to get out of the shower, I felt something hit my right shoulder and then heard something crash to the floor and in the tub. I called the front desk and was told that the mgr and maintenance would not be there till 7 am and I could call them then. I explained I was there with State Music competitors and we had to be on campus to rehearse by 6:30. I have previously 0stayed here 6 yrs ago for State Cheerleading after a fire and our room still smelled like smoke and we asked for another room and were treated very rudely by the mgr. I was hesitant to stay there again but it was as a mom with a student singing at MU and wanted to be able to follow the kids over and not get lost. ...read more
